“We’re just testing the mic, not yet time for politics,” Turaki tells supporters
Senator representing Kwara Central Senatorial District, Saliu Mustapha, has assured his supporters that their sacrifices and commitment towards sustaining the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara State will not go unrewarded.
The senator gave the assurance during his homecoming visit, where he appreciated party faithful and supporters for their loyalty and continued support for him and the APC in the state.
Mustapha, who is the Turaki of Ilorin, said the visit was not politically motivated despite speculations surrounding the 2027 elections, explaining that he only returned home to celebrate Eid and appreciate supporters.
“I did not come home for politics. I came to sincerely appreciate our people for their continued support, sacrifices and commitment to the APC and our collective vision for Kwara State. Tomorrow is Eid, I’m home for Eid and not for politics. We are yet to start politics. This is just testing the mic,” he said.
The lawmaker urged party members and supporters to remain united and committed to the ideals of the APC, stressing that the strength and future of the party depend on collective commitment and peaceful coexistence among members.
He also thanked supporters for standing by the party over the years, assuring them that their loyalty and dedication would continue to be recognised.
