The Police in Edo State has arrested two female students of Adesuwa Secondary School, Benin, for allegedly assaulting a teacher. The command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Chidi Nwabuzor, confirmed the arrest in a statement issued on Friday in Benin City. The Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (FMARD), on Thursday, distributed starter packs, worth N1.5 million, to 30 farmers in South East to increase Rice Production in the country. A seven-year-old girl was reportedly murdered by a suspected ritualist in Ota, Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Area of Ogun State on Thursday. An Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court, on Wednesday, sentenced one Adewale Ibitoye to life imprisonment for having sexual intercourse with his 14-year-old daughter. Following the discovery of the corpse of a teenage girl in a hotel wardrobe, the coastal town of Twon Brass in Brass Local Government Area of Bayelsa State was thrown into confusion on Monday. Three minors died on Monday when fire razed a one-storey residential building in the Kabuga Yan Azara area of Kano State. The spokesperson for the Kano State Fire Service, Saminu Abdullahi, confirmed the incident in a statement.
