Serenal Williams hints at returning back to Tennis
Serena Williams has hinted about the possibility of her return to the court after previously saying in September that she would be probably stepping away from the court after her last US Open.
Serena disclosed this while promoting her investment company, Serena Ventures in a press conference at San Francisco saying the chances of returning are “very high”
“I am not retired.The chances (of a return) are very high. You can come to my house, I have a court.”
“But I did wake up the other day and go on the court and (considered) for the first time in my life that I’m not playing for a competition, and it felt really weird. said the Amazon who said not preparing for a tournament after the U.S. Open did not feel natural to her.
“I still haven’t really thought about (retirement),” said Williams who lost in the third round of her last US Open to Ajla Tomljanovic.
The 41 year old Tennis Star had said she was “evolving away from tennis” in an essay in August noting her dislike for using the word ‘retirement’.
Even as she did not confirm the U.S. Open as her farewell event- she was being treated to tributes in her games while she also reacts with a wave which signalled some sort of ‘goodbye’.
William, who is admired for her achievement on the court won 23-time Grand Slam in a career that spanned over two decades.
