Manchester United have finally severed relationship with Christiano Ronaldo.
The development is coming on the heels of a a controversial interview granted by the five time Baloon D’or winner with British veteran Journalist,Piers Morgan.
Ronaldo criticized the team and the Coach in the interview with series of revelations around the way the club is being run.
In a statement on Tuesday, Manchester United announced the end of their relationship with Ronaldo by ‘mutual agreement’.
“Cristiano Ronaldo is to leave Manchester United by mutual agreement, with immediate effect.
The club thanks him for his immense contribution across two spells at Old Trafford, scoring 145 goals in 346 appearances, and wishes him and his family well for the future.
Everyone at Manchester United remains focused on continuing the team’s progress under Erik ten Hag and working together to deliver success on the pitch.”
Ronaldo is currently in Qatar with Portugal National team. They will face Ghana in their opening game on November 24.
