Deputy Speaker Kwara State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon Raphael Adetiba on Saturday, 16th January, 2021 celebrated his 45th birthday with his 5th empowerment programme for the people of his constituency, Oke Ero Constituency.
The empowerment which was tagged “Trade and Investment” had beneficiaries from the ten wards that make up Oke Ero local government. The empowerment programme which was meant to alleviate poverty had items such as sewing machines, grinding machines, freezer and so on distributed amongst various beneficiaries.
The deputy speaker who was also the celebrant while giving his address was full of gratitude to God and the people of Oke Ero constituency for putting their trust him, promised that with their continual support the constituency would be better for all.
Hon. Adetiba in his speech, rolled out some achievements in the previous empowerment programme such as distribution of free exercise books, uniform to indigent pupils, scholarship to Davest school of Health Technology and provision of farm inputs to 120 farmers.
Beneficiaries of the empowerment expressed their delight, saying the kind gesture of the lawmaker was timely and they promised to judicious use of the equipment.
Dignitaries at the event include the Elekan of Ekan Land, Oba Micheal Adeyemi, Obajisun of Ayedun land, Dr. Olusegun Rotimi, representative of Ekiti Local Government Area at KWHA Hon. AbdulGaniy, Chairman APC Oke-Ero, Hon. Olu Babalola, Chief Kehinde, and other well-meaning individuals from the Oke Ero consistency.
