Elon Musk finally buys Twitter, sacks top executives

The richest man in the world, Elon Musk took full control and ownership of Twitter late Thursday.

The co-founder of SpaceX and Tesla, made this confirmation on Friday, as he tweeted “the bird is freed”.

The Informant247 recalls the announcement of the $44billion purchase of the popular social media space in late April.

But the following months witnessed controversy which instituted a threat to the sale and purchase.

The then management of Twitter filed a suit blaming the world’s richest man of attempting to go back on the terms and conditions of agreement.

Now that he has got control over the media space, Musk has sacked Twitter CFO Ned Segal, CEO Parag Agrawal, and Vijaya Gadde, who’s the top legal executive.

The co-founder of Biz Stone has commended the three top ranking executive for their “collective contribution” to the business.

Agrawal and Segal were reported to have been accompanied out of Twitter’s San Francisco headquarters after the deal was concluded.
