Bandits invade Kaduna palace, kidnap monarch’s sons, daughters

Suspected bandits have invaded the palace of the Emir of Kagarko, Kaduna State, Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar.

They whisked away nine of the emir’s children, grandchildren and three other persons in the location.

While confirming the incident, a person residing at the affected location said the gunmen suspected to be bandits invaded the place around 11:15pm and went in the direction of the Emir’s house.

“They took away his youngest wife, nine children and grandchildren but the wife escaped and returned back home,” he said.

He added that they whisked away three other individuals who included one lady and inflicted injury on one Audu Kwakulu of Ungwan Pah who had been hospitalized for medical attention.

“The bandits also killed one herdsman in Kuchimi village and looted seven shops in Janjala village (both in Kagarko LG) on their way back,” the source added

The spokesperson of the state police command, DSP Muhammed Jalige, did not react to calls at the time of producing this report.

The Informant247 recalls that Kaduna is a North Western State in Nigeria and is faced with security challenges.

The residents of the state have not found it bearable to cope with the seemingly unceasing violence in the region.
