Two Nigerian arrested for operating schools where students are taught internet fraud

BENIN-CITY, Nigeria (The Informant247) – Two owners of Internet fraud coaching schools and seven other suspected internet fraudsters were arrested in Nigeria’s southern Edo State, the country’s anti-graft body said on Thursday.

The yahoo school owners, Osagie Ogiemwonyi and Onukwugho Favour and seven of their “students” were on Tuesday arrested at their centres following actionable intelligence worked upon by the body, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission said in a terse statement,

The Commission named Destiny Ohikwugbe, Chata Okoro, Ighodaro Omede, Ehigie Idemudia, Lawrence Daniel, Raymond Ogiemwonyi Oghosa and Henry Philip as the seven other suspects.

Items recovered from the suspects according to the Commission include a Mercedes Benz GLK, Lexus 350, phones and laptops.
