The newly sworn-in Kwara State Commissioner for Local Governments and Chieftaincy affairs, Hajia Aishat Pategi has on Monday, 16th December, 2019 resumed office pledged to place high premium on staff’s development and welfare.
Upon resumption to work, she held a meeting with the senior members of staff in the ministry where she reiterated her resolve to reposition and revive good work ethics to her ministry.
She emphatically stressed the need to improve the welfare and development of workers, strict adherence to work ethics and the need for team work.
In the same vein, the commissioner also had a closed door meeting with the permanent secretary to the ministry; Dr. Ezekiel Afolabi and the Director of Finance and supply; Alhaji Musa Jibril Kannike where she extolled their efforts in ensuring continued growth of the ministry.
Mrs. Aisha Pategi however stressed the need to maintain the core value and team work so as to attain the ministry’s objectives and do more for the development of Kwara state.
She later embarked on an incognito visit to Ilorin East Local Government Secretariat, Oke-Oyi for on the spot assessment of the staff and facilities.
There, she met with staffs on duty and reiterating her will to give the Ministry a facelift.
In their response, the staffs expressed their gratitude, assuring the commissioner of their willingness to work with her for a new and greater ministry.
