Sanni Sheu-Ahmad, a 35-year-old Kwara youth have emerged among the 30 final selections, to be declared as the fellow of Month within the first month of full residential training and Ministerial placement.
The Informant247 gathered that the leadership journey of an indigene of the Isin Local Government of kwara state, span across advocacy, activism, social entrepreneurship and now Public service leadership.
According to a report, Lagos State Government shop across the 36 states of the federation for viable youths to train in filling the void of quality leadership perceived in the polity, whereby, Sanni Sheu-Ahmad
declared the fellow of Month within the first month of full residential training and Ministerial placement among the 30 final selected for the award.
He has close to a decade of professional experience in Education as a Class teacher, Learning support specialist, School executive, Programs and Project manager.
Sanni Sheu-Ahmad was erstwhile Director at Masha Allah International School, Tanke.
He is Co-founder of Dotted and Kruxd Consult; An Edtech firm that works with education authorities to bring the Nigerian Public education up to par with global standard. He has worked in education intervention programs in Kwara state with the Discover and Nurture scholars initiative program championed by Iliyasu Ibrahim Foundation, Digital literacy in rural communities championed by Kingseed and Queenseed Associate, He was the producer of Radio classes on Unilorin FM; a program meant to cushion the effect of COVID-19 lockdown on children’s learning.
His admission to this fellowship came after a several phase of rigorous screening exercises which involved more than 3700 mid-level professionals under the age of 35. He was admitted at as the 29th of 30 fellows and he is currently acting as Special Assistant to the Governor of Lagos state on Economic Planning and Budgets. He describes the fellowship experience as the best learning experience that can prepare young people for executive positions in Civil service or as elected officials.
The Lateef Jakande Leadership Academy is named after the first Civilian Governor of Lagos state. Alhaji Lateef Kayode Jakande who hailed from Omu-Aran in Kwara state is considered the beacon of Public leadership.
The Academy is a one-year Fellowship programme initiated by the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu offer non-partisan and meritocratic opportunities to young Nigerians who desire to impact their generation. It aim to develop future leaders by equipping them with the requisite skills to positively influence the public service and instill in them the ethics and values of purposeful leadership through direct mentoring and on-the-job training.
