The Ilorin Emirate Youth Development Association (IEYDA), a body of youths across five local government areas of Ilorin Emirate, has applauded the annual empowerment scheme rolled out by Saliu Mustapha Foundation.
The foundation had earlier announced a multi-million-naira scheme as part of its annual empowerment programme, which started ten years ago.
The nonprofit also stated that women and young people will be prioritised when doling out business grants, scholarships and seed capital for small and medium scale businesses.
However, in an appreciation letter sent to Saliu Mustapha, the Chairman of the organisation, the leadership of the association expressed gratitude to the foundation for privilege of slots.
The letter was co-signed by the national President of the group, Abdullahi Babatunde Salau and the Publicity Secretary, Mohammed Uthman Jagunmo.
“We are using this medium to express our sincere appreciation to your noble Foundation on the empowerment slots for the lucky Development Associations under IEYDA. The selection process for the Empowerment Programme was a very transparent one and first of its kind in the history of IEYDA,” the letter read.
They also noted that the empowerment will go a long way in impacting the lives of the less-privileged at the grassroot and alleviate our people from poverty.
It should be noted that the foundation is a brainchild of Mallam Saliu Mustapha and has fronted humanitarian and developmental interventions in different sectors in Kwara state for nearly two decades.
