The Saliu Mustapha Foundation is a non-governmental establishment, operating in Ilorin, the capital of Kwara State.
The NGO is to uplift and grow the living standards of the less privileged persons and disadvantaged communities, especially the orphans and other vulnerable organizations.
The organization recently made an announcement of a scholarship scheme of the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WAEC) for orphans.
The process of application occurred on the website of the foundation.
A great number of interested persons – a total of 800 candidates applied for the scheme, among whom 200 beneficiaries are to be shortlisted.
The founder and chairman of the NGO, Mallam Saliu Mustapha, however later increased the slots to 300 for the benefit of more candidates.
The selected students have been communicated and will get paid for their examination fees.
Their examination fees will be sent to their schools, and not to them as individuals.
The scholarship scheme is one of the initiatives that the NGO which have served as benefits and blessings to people and their communities.
The Informant247 recalls that the NGO also lent assisting hands to students by registering them for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, UTME.
The organization carried out many empowerment schemes to uplift the standards of living of the people.
