Two persons have been confirmed dead in Enugu State after some unknown gunmen launched an attack on military check point, on Tuesday morning.
The Informant247 gathered that the unknown gunmen launched an attack on Army checkpoint at Obeagu-Amodu road in Enugu South Local Government Area of Enugu State.
The Informant247 observes that this will not be the first time unknown gunmen were launching attack on security personnel along that axis.
It was gathered that the ceaseless attacks triggered the mobilization of the combined team of security operatives to the affected scene.
It was learnt that the unknown gunmen invaded the affected area again in two Lexus Jeeps and one Toyota Sienna bus around 7:25 a.m.
They reportedly shot sporadically at the combined team of the Police and the military.
Although the number of casualties is still not yet ascertained, a source confessed that at least two persons have lost their lives.
The Enugu State police has not made any official statement on the reported attack.
