Four men were on Friday, remanded in correctional facility for alleged murder and kidnapping.
They appeared before an Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court, Ibadan on Friday.
50-year-old Oyetunji Moruf, 47-year-old Raimi Sumbo, 43-year-old Biodun Adeniji and 50-year-old Suleiman Oladejo, whose addresses of residence were not disclosed, were charged with kidnapping, conspiracy and murder.
Mrs O. O. Ogunkanmi, who’s the Magistrate, rejected the defendants plea for want of jurisdiction.
The Magistrate order the police to take the case file back to the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP), for legal necessary advice.
She has adjourned the matter until December for further mention.
Insp. Sikiru Opalaya, who’s the Prosecutor, informed the court that the defendants allegedly carried out the offences on September 17, at Koso, Ayegun Oleyo Area, Ibadan.
The Prosecutor made an allegation that the defendants and others, abducted and took the life of one 55-year-old Badmos Ibrahim, by strangulating him.
He added that the offences were in contravention of the Sections 516, 324 and 319 of the Criminal laws of Oyo State, 2000 and 3(1) (2)4(1) of the Oyo State kidnapping prohibition Law, 2016.
