While Casemiro would go on to score two goals in the dying minutes,Mathys Tel scored once more for Bayern in between Casemiro’s goals to ensure that the hosts kept their winning card tight.
United, in the wake of their poor run of form have now conceded three goals or more in three consecutive matches for the first time since December 1978.
A 3-1 lost both Brighton & Hove Albion and Arsenal in their previous two games have seen United come under fierce criticism and media blast.
United will be hoping for a redemption when they make a trip to Burnley on Saturday for league game before hosting Crystal Palace on the 26th for the EFL Cup round 3
