Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana has taken responsibility for his side 4-3 defeat to Bayern Munich.
The Cameroonian major error in the game was allowing Leroy Sane’s weak shot to get through underneath him for Bayern’s first goal.
Immediately after the game, a remorseful Onana was quick to hold his hands up and requested to come out and speak to the media.
He said: “It’s my responsibility. Because of me we didn’t win — and I have to learn from it.
“I have a lot to prove. To be honest, my start in Man United is not so good.
“It was me who let the team down.”
It was not a good outing yet again for the Cameroonian as Man United would go on to lose with a narrow margin.
Onana joined United from Inter Milan in July but has had his early days with the club shadowed with questionable performances across several games.
He is reputed for his ability to play out from the back but his underwhelming performance has seen him come under fierce media attack.
