The Chairman, Lagos State Park and Garages Management Committee, Musiliu Akinsanya, also known as MC Oluomo, has falsified the report that he ordered riders of tricycle to buy stickers in support of Bola Tinubu’s presidential ambition.
The stickers has the image of Oluomo, that of the Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, and the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC.
A video revealed that some riders were protesting the order to pay N500 for Tinubu campaign stickers.
Oluomo, has via a statement, revealed that he was surprised that people were connecting the footage to him.
The former Chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers, NURTW said it’s now an election season, and people will maliciously engaging in propaganda.
“I did not know anything about the said sticker, neither did I sanction the sale. I would appreciate additional information as regards the location where the incident happened so that we can conduct thorough investigation.
“We are against anything that would hamper the free flow of business activities or bring hardship upon our people,” he said.
Oluomo revealed that the former governor of Lagos state has more than enough people who are ready to finance his presidential campaign and he would not be the one to spend money.
He has sent message of advice to people to remain vigilant and as political parties “would be looking for ways, both ethical and unethical, to outsmart themselves”.
Oluomo said his name should not be connected to “political permutations…for the sake of cheap popularity”.
