A man suspected to be a cultist was in Tuesday arrested by the So-Safe Corps in Ogun State over alleged robbery of traders.
The spokesperson of the corps, Moruf Yusuf, in a statement disclosed the identity of the suspect as Ojo Fagbenro.
It was gathered that the suspect resides at Iju-Aga, Abekoko in Iju-Ishaga, Ifo Local Government Area of Ogun State.
Yusuf added that the suspect was apprehended by operatives of the corps in Oke-Aro/Olambe Division, while on routine movement around 8 pm.
It was also learnt that the suspect was arrested while trying to dispossess sellers of their phone accessory on the bridge at Abule Ekun, Giwa, along Ijoko road.
“The suspect, during preliminary investigation confessed to the crime, and then revealed that he is the ‘Number Three’ leader of the deadly Eye confraternity in the area,” Yusuf said.
He further said that charms, one locally-made pistol and a small bag were discovered on the suspect.
The corps has handed all items recovered on the suspect to the police in Ajuwon division as ordered by Soji Ganzallo, the Commander of the corps.
