Anambra State Governor, Prof. Charles Soludo, has outlined his administration’s ambitious vision to reshape and revitalize the state capital, Awka, into a modern, befitting state capital that residents can take pride in.
Speaking after participating in the monthly Solution Walk For Healthy Living at the Anambra State stadium in Awka, Soludo shared his strategic plans for the city’s development.
Soludo emphasized that part of this transformation would involve the demolition of some properties to make way for this grand vision.
He expressed his commitment to enhancing Awka’s status as a true state capital, with plans for the construction of flyovers across the city’s highways.
He also announced his intention to set a precedent by being the first governor of Anambra State to reside in Awka’s government house, marking a significant milestone for the capital city.
Governor Soludo reaffirmed his dedication to prudent financial management, vowing that every resource generated by the state government would be efficiently utilized for sustainable development.
He emphasized his strong commitment to building a foundation for sustainable human capital development in the state.
In addressing the youth, Soludo urged them to work diligently to secure a prosperous future.
He encouraged those enrolled in the state government’s “one youth two skills program” to take their training seriously, recognizing it as a potential gateway to success.
