Senator Ifeanyi Ubah would’ve been dead if not for his bulletproof jeep – Spokesperson

Mr Kameh Ogbonna, the spokesperson of Senator Ifeanyi Ubah, representing Anambra South Senatorial District at the upper chamber, has revealed that the bulletproof vehicle of his principal saved his life.

The Informant247 recalls that the lawmaker on Sunday narrowly escaped death when some unidentified gunmen, who were suspected to be assassins, sporadically shot at his convoy.

The sad incident led to the death of his aides, including a yet to be specified number of police escorts in the convoy.

While reacting to the incident, the spokesperson of Ubah has via a statement confirmed the death of an aide, who died during the incident.

He revealed that the bullets from the assassins hit some police officers who engaged the unknown gunmen during the incident that happened in Enugu State.

“If not for the bullet proof jeep the senator was riding in, he would have been dead by now.

“We were passing Enugwu Ukwu junction when they hit us from all sides and as I speak with you Obum, the special aide to the senator is dead.

“About seven security operatives were hit by the assassins bullet,” he stated.
