Nigerian President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, during the opening of the G20 summit, met with the prime minister of India, Narendra Modi.
The Informant247 had earlier reported that Tinubu, on September 4, departed Nigeria for the two-day summit in New Delhi, India.
On Saturday, the African Union (AU) formally joined the group of 20 top global economies.
Tinubu appreciated Modi for hosting the summit and for inviting Nigeria.
“As the president of the most populous black nation on earth, I look forward to meeting fellow world leaders and forging strong alliances to secure a brighter future for our great nation, Nigeria – and indeed, the entire African continent,” he wrote on his X page.
“I am committed to advancing our renewed 4D foreign policy objectives: Democracy, Development, Demography, and Diaspora.”
