PHOTOS: AU, UN officials in attendance as ECOWAS holds meeting over Niger crisis in Abuja

In an extraordinary meeting held in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital city, where African leaders met to resolving Niger coup crisis, the officials from the United Nations (UN) and the African Union (AU) were present at the second Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).

It was reported that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu-led participants were on Thursday, deliberated on how to proceed after the military junta in Niger defied the bloc’s deadline on Sunday, while it failed to reinstate democratically elected President Mohamed Bazoum.
