The Department of State Security (DSS) in Abeokuta have arrested the suspended Chairman of Ijebu-East Local Government Area of Ogun State, Wale Adedayo, following his suspension by the council lawmakers in the state.
The Informant247 gathered that the DSS had summoned Adedayo following allegations that Governor Dapo Abiodun had been diverting funds meant for the local governments in the state.
He confirmed to reporters earlier on Friday that he was at the security agency’s office in Oke-Mosan.
One of his aides, who pleaded not to be named due to security reasons, told journalists that his principal was still with the DSS at 9 p.m., where he had accompanied him to the entrance of the DSS office during the day, but he was yet to be released as of 9 pm.
