Leave PDP for APC to become president again, Pastor Tells Jonathan

A pastor, Felix Aluko, has openly advised former President Goodluck Jonathan to decamp from Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, to the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, to ease his return to the presidential villa, Abuja in 2023.

Aluko of the Resurrected Assembly (GROM), made this revelation on Tuesday in the state capital of Nigeria, Abuja.

He said Jonathan would be able to be returned back to power, only if he defects to and runs under the platform of the ruling APC.

“For this to happen, the ex-president must defect from his present political platform, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and contest the election on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).”

The pastor, however, sounded warning to the ex-president that his chance to become Nigerian president again may be lost forever, if he declines the divine call to contest the 2023 presidential election.

He said, “The Lord has said that his (Jonathan’s) chapter in the PDP has been closed and a new chapter of his political journey has been opened, not in the PDP, but in APC. That he has to align himself with the purpose and will of God for his life to be able to fulfil his presidential mandate.

“God allowed him to move out of the presidential seat for a purpose to be able to train him on the aspect of the things He wanted him to do. Now that God is bringing him back, he will be able to fulfil that purpose.

“God said that Jonathan should not listen to detractors but should move out from their crowd and follow His counsel. That the finger of God is pointing at him to become the Nigerian president come 2023. And that can only be fulfilled if he decides to follow the will of God and leave the political party where he is now, and move to the APC.

“He should not be scared away from his divine mandate by public opinion. God said to me that this is the set time for his return to Aso Rock and he should not let the opportunity slip away from his own hands” he said.

Recall that some Jonathan’s supporters were reported to have protested at his Abuja office on Friday, requesting him to declare officially his intent to join the 2023 presidential race.

The former president according to reports had told them that he was not certain if he will be contesting the 2023 presidential election.

He, however, in simple language, told them to “just watch out”.
