Yaman made the declaration in Ilorin on Tuesday during a media chat with the members of the Correspondents Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Kwara Council.
According to him, the people of Kwara are fed up with the ruling party as it had failed to deliver on promises.
He said the electorate are informed and cannot be brainwashed again.
“People are tired of their government. Everybody, both young and old, have rejected them.
“They have failed on their campaign promises and rejected by the masses. The ship of Kwarans has being turned to reverse gear.
“Kwarans deserve a new leaf, which PDP will provide. We are going to be masses friendly,” he said.
Yaman said the state was blessed with enormous rich natural resources which is enough to sustain the state and create wealth for the ordinary citizens.
According to him, Kwara is blessed with cotton wool, gold, granite rocks, tantalite, marble, limestone and other mineral resources which can be properly utilised.
He described leadership as one of the major challenges causing set back in the development of the state.
The governorship candidate promised to empower the youths and old in the state to tap into the rich mineral resources available.
He said the state has the capacity to stand on its own without waiting for federal allocation or relying on borrowing to survive.
He disclosed that there is no rancor between him and the former President of the Senate, Dr Bukola Saraki, saying that it was a false media propaganda by social media agents.
Yaman added that he had been friends with Saraki even before he ventured into politics.
“Me and Saraki have been friends for ages. Politics cannot divide us. Stop listening to rumour mongers,” he said. (NAN)
