The Kwara State House of Assembly has today, 29th October, 2019 commenced the screening of the sixteen commissioner-designates forwarded to the House by Kwara governor, AbdulRazaq AbdulRahman for confirmation.
The marathon screening exercise which lasted six hours on the floor of the Kwara State House of Assembly saw six out of the sixteen commissioner-designates fielded various questions from lawmakers.
The six Commissioner nominees screened by the KWHA are:
1. Barr. Ayinla Jawondo (Asa)
2. Eng. Rotimi Suleiman (Moro)
3. Arc. Mohammed Aliyu (Kaiama
4. Mrs. Heirriette Adenike (Ifelodun)
5. Hajia Sa’adat Modibo-Kawu ( Ilorin South)
6. Dr Raji Rasaki (Ekiti)
With this trajectory, governor AbdulRazaq AbdulRahman has set an unprecedented record in the political terrain of Nigeria for constituting a cabinet with over 56 percent of women participation.
