The Kwara South Youth Assembly has reiterated its threats to recall the Senator representing Kwara South at the National Assembly, Arc. Lola Ashiru, over poor representation.
This was contained in a communique issued at the end of the group’s monthly sitting held at Ajase-Ipo, on Wednesday.
The group alleged that the Senator has not done any useful project to the constituency, insisting that the Senator should be recalled.
The statement reads in part, “The senator has not done anything tangible for the Assembly to welcome his invitation at this present moment, the status quo of his recall still stands and the process of the recalling should step up immediately.”
Meanwhile the group also consented to the suspension of her Speaker, Barrister Nurudeen Temi Salami, over alleged breach of trust, violation of unanimous decision, and gross misconduct.
After his suspension, the Assembly voted Hon. Engr. Kareem Sanusi as the Acting Speaker who, for his part, assumed office immediately.
