Kwara police to return vehicles, motorcycles seized during lockdown, curfew

The police in Kwara State says it will start returning vehicles and motorcycles seized during COVID-19 lockdown and State Government imposed curfew, a top police official said on Monday.

“As such, owners of such vehicles and motorcycles are given 14 days of grace to come with the original documents for identification and collection,” the state police commissioner, CP Mohammed Lawal Bagega said in a statement released by the police spokesperson, Ajayi Okasanmi.

The statement added that all unclaimed items will be auctioned upon expiration of the fourteen days ultimatum.

“The commissioner of police Kwara State Command CP Mohammed Lawal Bagega psc, wishes to also assure the good people of Kwara State his determination to sustain the peace and security kwara State is known for, while advising the people to be vigilant and inform the police of strange movement within their area, please,” he said.
