Tuition: Gov AbdulRazaq asks Kwara poly to allow students write exams

The Kwara State Polytechnic Ilorin has been directed to allow all students of the institution to write their examinations whether or not they have paid their tuition fees.

Honourable Commissioner for Tertiary Education, Barrister Senior Ibrahim Suleiman said the governor gave the directive in line with the appeal of most students who cited the country’s harsh economic situation.

Senior said, “His Excellency has looked into appeals by students of the Kwara State Polytechnic to be allowed to write their examinations while they pay up their tuition fees at a later date. The Governor has graciously granted this request in full appreciation of the extant economic situation in the country. He however appeals to the affected students to reciprocate this goodwill by ensuring prompt payment of their fees which are critical to effective running of the institution.

“The Governor wishes all the students superlative performances in their studies, and reassures all stakeholders of government’s continuous support for the Polytechnic community and other educational institutions in the state.”
