Kalia Footwears, a firm in Kwara State has partnered with private and government establishments in its Shoe Indigent Pupils – SIP scheme, a statement by the project spokesperson, Shafihi Abdulrasheed said on Monday.
The SIP project is targeted at providing sandals for 2,000 needy students in public schools in Kwara State.
The partners’ list includes Focus Africa Series; International Vocational, Technical and Entrepreneurship College (IVTEC), Ajase-Ipo; Charcoal eatery, Tanke Junction, Ilorin; Kwara state Chapter of the Nigeria Youth Congress and National Association of Kwara State Students, National Headquarters.
“We believe in working together to add values, flexibility and integrate the course to provide students with 2,000 sandals,” The Director-General of Project-SIP, Issa Mutolib Ayobami was quoted as saying in the statement.
For his part, the CEO of Kalia Footwear Production, Ibrahim Kale Jimoh disclosed that the project team is also reaching to individuals for possible collaborations. So far, the responses have been very encouraging.
Other private and public establishments are urged to support project, the statement added.
