Kwara JUSUN issues 7-day strike notice over Non-implementation of CONJUSS

The Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria (JUSUN), Kwara State Chapter, has issued a 7-day strike notice to the Kwara State Government over the alleged failure to implement the Consolidated Judicial Salary Structure (CONJUSS) for judiciary workers in the state.

In a statement released on Monday, August 18, 2025, and signed by the union’s Public Relations Officer, Aliu Ahmad Gold, JUSUN expressed frustration over what it described as almost 12 months of fruitless negotiations with the government and judiciary management.

According to the statement, the initial 21-day ultimatum, which was issued on July 25, 2025, expired today without any meaningful progress from the government.

“Despite efforts to resolve this matter amicably, the Union feels that the issue has been unduly prolonged, with no clear resolution in sight. Consequently, after the expiration of the 7-day notice period on Monday, 25th August 2025, the Union will commence an indefinite strike action if our demands are not met,” the statement read in part.

The union further urged all its members across the state to prepare for the looming industrial action, remain vigilant, and stand united in pressing for their rights and welfare.
