The Kwara State Government reiterated its commitment to providing clean water and finding a sustainable solution to water scarcity in the state.
The Commissioner for the Ministry of Water Resources, Alhaji Abdulwahab Femi Agbaje stated this during a working visit to the ongoing project at the Jebba Water Works in Moro Local Government Area of the state.
Agbaje disclosed that the State Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has given the Ministry a marching order to ensure that all the nooks and crannies of the state have access to clean and potable water supply to curb water scarcity.
The Commissioner, therefore, pleaded with the engineer in charge of the Engr project, Samuel Bolaji, to speed up the pace of work and ensure rapid execution.
In response, the project contractor, engineer, Samuel Bolaji, informed the commissioner of the constant pace of work and assured him that the aqueduct project would be completed promptly.
