Kwara State Governor and Chairman of Nigeria Governors’ Forum, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq on Sunday, directed the partial opening of the newly developed Flower Garden, located at GRA to allow families to enjoy beautiful moments at the serene garden during the upcoming festive season, a government statement said on Sunday.
In a statement released by Samuel Keatswa Elizabeth, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Environment, the governor said the redesigning of the garden is to retore the beauty of the area, adding that entry will be free for this festive season.
The statementreads, “The beautiful garden has been redesigned to allow for enjoyable family getaways, leisure visits, meditation, reading, and relaxations. The redesigning has been done to restore the beauty of the area. Its alluring nature, trees and flowers have been carefully preserved to bring back the beautiful memory of the capital city, Ilorin.”
“Officials will be on ground to ensure that visitors have fun throughout their stay, as well as guide against damage to areas that are still being developed for maximum pleasure of the Kwara public.”
