Kwara 2027: ‘we’re expecting the rest of G15, stakeholders’ — Oyabambi welcomes Saliu Mustapha, Kolo Jiya

A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kwara State, Otunba Abdetunji Oyabambi, has welcomed Senator Saliu Mustapha and Dr. Kolo Baba Jiya to the party, saying their arrival is part of the ongoing political realignment ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Oyabambi, a former Deputy Governor aspirant, stated this in a statement made available to The Informant247, describing the development as a welcome one and saying the party had been expecting their coming.

He said the entry of Mustapha and Kolo Baba Jiya would strengthen the PDP ahead of the 2027 elections, noting that their political experience, networks and influence would add value to the party.

Oyabambi further said the PDP was expecting the rest of the G15, other stakeholders and members of the TOP movement to join the party, as consultations and political realignments continue across the state.

He called on party members and supporters to remain united and receptive to new entrants, saying the PDP was positioning itself to provide a strong platform for the people of Kwara State ahead of the 2027 elections.
