A 20 year old, Ajibola Olaoye, has been remanded in a correctional centre over alleged murder and armed robbery.
He was remanded on the directive of an Ibadan Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday.
Olaoye, whose address of residence was not revealed was charged with armed robbery, murder and conspiracy.
Mrs O. A. Akande, who was the magistrate, rejected the plea of the suspect for lack of jurisdiction.
She ordered the police to moved the case file to the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPPs) for legal advice.
The case has been adjourned until Dec. 14 for mention.
Mr Philip Amusan, who was the prosecutor, informed the court that the suspect allegedly carried out the offences on May 29, at 1. 45 a.m, at Omitade community, along the old Ife Road, Ibadan.
The prosecutor also alleged that Olaoye and others who were armed with guns and other harmful weapons stormed the residence of one Mustafa Diran.
He also made an allegation that Olaoye attempted to illegally take away or stealthe laptops, car and cell phones of Diran.
He revealed that the suspect allegedly triggered the killing of one 50 year old Semiu Hussien, by shooting him on the chest.
Amusan established that the offences were in contravention of Sections 319 of the Criminal Laws of Oyo State, 2000 and 6, 2(B) of the Robbery and Firearms Laws of Nigeria, 2004.
