Nine citizens of Syria, who included a mother and eight children lost their lives in a fire incident which occurred at their apartment in north-western Turkey.
Anadolu, the State news agency, said the children’s ages were between one and 11 years.
Yakup Canbolat, the Governor of Bursa, said that the six children, the 31-year-old mother, and two nieces, ended as victims of the inferno late Tuesday night, in Bursa province.
Canbolat revealed that the initial investigation showed that a heater might have triggered the inferno, which reportedly consumed the second floor of the apartment.
Three other persons on higher floors were briefly injured and hospitalized to a hospital for medical attention, Anadolu reported.
The report also said that the victims ran away from the civil war zone in Syria’s Aleppo to Turkey in 2017.
