The 2022 Felabration will begin with three major events designed to give young creatives a platform to reach enviable heights through competitions in fashion, afrobics dance, and artwork.
The artwork competition will kick off the 2022 annual festival of music and the arts honouring the lives and times of late great Fela Anikulapo Kuti, Nigeria’s biggest musical icon, on Thursday, September 29.
Funke Kuti, one of the judges for the Afrobics dance competition, commented on the competitions and said that they were intentionally designed to be a platform for young creatives in dance, fashion, and the arts while honouring the contributions of the iconic Afrobeat pioneer.
The artwork competition is scheduled to be held at the Kalakuta museum. With the theme, ‘Fear not 4 man,’ three winners are expected to emerge in the art competition. The second runner-up will go home with N100,000, the first runner-up will win N150,000 and the winner will be presented with a cash prize of N250,000.
