Kwara farmers who are prospective beneficiaries of the Kwara State Fadama NG-CARES scheme have been warned not to release their personal data to anyone.
The State Project Coordinator, Engr. Dr. Busari Toyin Isiaka, who stated that there are reports of some criminal elements trying to commit illicit operations in the name of Fadama NG-CARES platform, cautioned farmers to be careful and avoid falling victims of being duped.
Busari disclosed that his office did not and will not employ any person to obtain farmers’ Bank Verification Numbers (BVNs), Bank Account Details, Date of birth and other information.
He advised anyone that receives any call or message to ignore it and immediately contact the Fadama NG-CARES Office or report the experience to their respective Local Facilitators or other relevant officials instead of giving out any information to those strange callers.
He cautioned those who are behind these criminal activities to desist, noting that they would face the full wrath of law if they are caught.
The project is put together to support farmers whose economic status have been aggravated by the COVID-19 pandemic.
