The Head of Communications Strategy, Kwara Football Academy, Ibraheem Jatto, has urged Nigerians to embrace the several opportunities offered by technology, saying such would fast-track development in the country.
He made this call while speaking at the 37th convention and 38th investiture of Junior Chamber International, JCI, UNILORIN chapter themed, ‘Digital transformation: Harnessing the hidden benefits of the new oil’ held on Saturday in Ilorin, Kwara State.
He emphasized the indispensable role of digital technologies in sustaining social and economic activities, stressing that embracing them would help in solving problems, reducing excess time, saving lives, and exchanging information.
Jatto, who highlighted the several effects of not embracing technology, expressed hope that Nigeria, in the coming years would fully harness its potential to grow the country’s economy and empower citizens.
The event also witnessed the swearing-in of the president-elect of the organization, Oladeji Olarewaju Emmanuel.
Mr. Ibraheem Jatto and another public speaker, Mallam Nasir Abdulquadri both bagged awards.
