Ekiti LG: Ebun-Owolabi, Fatigun, Ogungbe attempts imposition

Barring any last minute changes, the flag bearers of the All Progressives Congress ,(APC) at all the 16 LGs may be settled and announced at the great hall on Friday night, by Dr. Bukola Saraki, this medium has gathered.

Inline with the final push by stakeholders towards ensuring their preferred candidates emerge victorious at the primaries, meetings and alignments are being intensified.

According to highly placed sources who confided in this medium under the condition of anonymity, confirmed that one of such meetings actually held at Hon. Ebun-Owolabi’s House yesterday, Thursday from 4pm-7pm.

Prominent amongst other attendees at the meeting include Hon. Ebun-Owolabi, Hon. Fatigun both working for Chief R. O Dada and Hon. Sayo Amos respectively, while noticeable stakeholders working for the candidacy of Com. Yinka Dallas were no where near the meeting.

Giving the roll call of the attendees at the meeting, the source said “Alh. Gani (LG party Chairman), Hon. Ebun Owolabi, Mr. Leke Ogungbe, Hon. Bode Ogunleye, Hon. Bamisaye, Alh. Akanke & Hon. Akintoba Fatigun.

“While 41 other stakeholders in the LG were shut out of the meeting, the likes of Hon. Olu Ayeni, Hon. Gbadeyan, Hon. C.T Ayeni,  Hon. Dele Abiodun, Hon. CB Ore, Hon. J Ayeni, Alh. Olaiya Bello, Alh. Isa Raji among others”.

“Rising from the meeting around 7pm, the 7 attendees selected to re-zone the Chairmanship seat to Koro thereby putting paid to the ambition of the Youth activist turned politician Comrade Yinka Dallas.  A letter purportedly conveying the outcome of the meeting has already been sent to Dr. Saraki in Abuja via mail, while it will also be physically be handed over to him when he comes to town today.

“The letter claims that the resolution of all the 48 Ekiti stakeholders have agreed to pick Chief R.O Dada the octogenarian from Koro as the consensus candidate” she stressed.
