Buhari, 7 ministers heading for Spain
President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday, May 31, will be moving from Abuja to Madrid, Spain on a State Visit. This came at the invitation of the Spanish President, Pedro Sanchez.
In a statement released by the president’s spokesman, Femi Adesina, the president will be accompanied by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama; Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami (SAN); Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed; Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Otunba Adeniyi Adebayo; Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Sunday Dare; Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola; and the Minister of State for Health, Olorunnimbe Mamora.
Also in the delegation are the National Security Adviser, Maj-Gen Babagana Monguno (rtd); Amb. Ahmed Rufa’i Abubakar; Director-General, National Intelligence Agency (NIA), and Chairman, Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa.
Adesina said President Buhari will also be meeting with the Spanish Head of State, His Majesty King Felipe VI.
President will be discussing issues of mutual interest to both countries, which will expectedly result in the signing of Agreements and Memoranda of Understanding on a myriad of topics.
He said the President will be expected back in the country, Friday, June 3.
