The spokesperson for the Atiku- Okowa Presidential Campaign Council, Daniel Bwala, has challenged Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari to make public his telephone conversation with the president elect Senator Bola Tinubu on Friday morning.
The president said he’s prepared to accept the president elect in the State House, Abuja, by May 29.
The presidential media aide, Garba Shehu said his principal made this statement while exchanging Eid greetings.
According to Shehu: “Both leaders thanked God Almighty for seeing this day and prayed for the stability and the wellbeing of the nation.
“President Buhari expressed his readiness to welcome Asiwaju Tinubu to the State House as President on May 29th.”
Bwala took to social media on Saturday asking the president to make the phone conversation with Tinubu public, as evidence that the conversation took place.
He said the Nigerian law does not permit the president to welcome the president elect to the state house.
He said: “Release the audio conversation as proof. Anyway, our constitution does not envision you welcoming him to the state house because, after the swearing-in at Eagle Square, the motorcade would take you to the airport, whilst he will now resume at his new house.”
