Atiku: Fani-Kayode advises Gov Wike, others to dump PDP, says party connected to terror

Gumi worse than Abubakar Shekau, Al Barnawi: Fani-Kayode

Femi-Fani Kayode (FFK), a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC has advised the Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike and stalwarts of the main opposition part to dump the party and its presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar.

The one time Minister of Aviation made this revelation, Wednesday in reaction to the manner the aggrieved chieftains of the PDP pulled out of the party’s presidential campaign.

Fani-Kayode has via a statement said Governor Wike and his allies are getting treated like filth by their own political platform, which he accused of having links with terror.

“I saw all this coming long ago. Why do you think I left the PDP in the first place?”, he asked.

He emphasized that the main opposition party is no more a national platform and does not have any iota of respect for Southerners.

The former minister insisted that the PDP was not of rewarding loyalty or be a political platform of its own words.

“It is a party that begins and ends in the North; every Southerner and Middle Belter that is still there is nothing but a quisling and a stooge.

“It is a party that does not believe in the importance of building bridges of peace, love and understanding between the North and the South.

“It is a party that does nothing but seek to marginalise and destroy its perceived enemies; putting Nigeria in its hands would mean the end of our country within a matter of months.

“A party with no morals or decency that treats those that stood by it, helped it and fought for it over the years with contempt and disdain.

“A party that uses and dumps. A party that seeks to deride, misrepresent and humiliate all those that once stood in the trenches with them and fought fir their cause.

“A party which has close and covert links with the terrorists that are killing, maiming and kidnapping our people.

“A party which is powered and controlled by hidden forces that believe they own Nigeria and that has not only sought to destabilise our nation.”

FFK leveled allegation against some PDP members whom he said are behind much of the bloodshed “in the North-West and parts of the North-Central and particularly in Zamfara, Kaduna, Niger, Nasarawa and Katsina”.

“A party that has done nothing but humiliate its former President and flagbearer in 2015, President Goodluck Jonathan, and did not see fit to give him a role in their Presidential Campaign Council.”

The All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain has advised Wike and other actors in the party to join the ruling party with their supporters.

He said Atiku will use everything he has got to fight and crush them if he wins the 2023 presidential election.

The Informant247 had earlier reported that the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar has reacted to the manner some chieftains of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) pulled out of the 2023 campaign.

The presidential candidate expressed surprise at the reaction of Wike’s camp because apart from the Rivers chapter of the party, all other states forwarded the names of people who they desired in the presidential campaign council of the party.

The Wazirin Adamawa through a statement on Wednesday, stated that the decision of Ayu to resign his appointment as the chairman of the party is personal.

He said he (Atiku) and anyone else cannot make that decision on behalf of the chairman of the party.
