Kwara Assembly Owolabi

The Kwara State House of Assembly was rocked with loud applause from House members and spectators as the lawmaker representing Share/Oke-Oke state constituency, Hon. Owolabi Rasaq reel out the achievements.

It started when the Speaker, Yakubu Salihu Danladi called on Members to make their remarks at a special session to mark the second anniversary of the ninth assembly.

Owolabi, in his remarks, said he empowered his constituents, renovated hospitals and schools and also constructed motorized boreholes in strategic places across his constituency.

Concluding his speech, he said, “When I was contesting in 2019, they see me as a stubborn one, but thank God today I have changed the narrative.”

No sooner had he finished his speech than the house went into an endless round of applause.

THE INFORMANT247 reported that Owolabi had in March distributed 6 vehicles, 40 grinding machines, 43 sewing machines, 20 sprayers, 2 deep freezers, 2 generators and clippers to empower his constituents.

During the empowerment scheme, he pointed out that his determination to ensure no one is jettisoned in the dividends of democracy pushed him to take a loan to augment what he initially budgeted to prosecute the empowerment scheme, adding that he won’t rest until he has put smiles in the face of his constituents.
