Alapa/Onire/Ode-giwa close rank holds weekly meeting

… As youth, women, and elders declare massive support for their daughter, Rukayat Shittu

Yesterday was the weekly meeting of the members of the All Progressives Congress in Alapa/Onire/Ode-Giwa ward of Owode Onire Constituency in Asa Local Government Area of Kwara State.

It was gathered that the meeting took another exciting dimension as youths, elders and women, in the ward attended the meeting in their large number to receive their blessed daughter, Rukayat Motunrayo Shittu, the APC Candidate for Owode Onire Constituency.

Rukayat got to Alapa as earlier as possible yesterday, and before proceeding to the meeting, paid visits to several households for much familiarity and consolidation with her people.

Baba Abu did the opening prayer in the meeting, prayed for the Governor of Kwara state, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq and wished him and other candidates on the platform of APC electoral victory at the forthcoming polls.

Mallam Raufu Adeleji who’s the chairman of the ward, thanked the supporters and loyalists of the party in the ward, and implored them to continue to be committed to the cause of the party.

Hon. Abdulateef Gidado Alakawa, the Commissioner for Agriculture and Rural Development in Kwara State, also present at the meeting thanked faithfuls of the party and preached peace and unity among members.

He implored youths to do away with violence, but rather contribute meaningful value to the affairs of the party.

Hon. Alakawa urged members to support Rukayat to get the ticket of the party for the constituency, as it will stand as hope for every youth in the constituency.

Alhaja Motunrayo while addressing members of the party in the meeting, on behalf of the women, advised them to get their voters’ cards and also encouraged members to begin carrying out their assignments regarding the 2023 general elections.

She admitted that the party has done well and its achievements are very significant to the forthcoming elections in the State.

Alhaja Tunrayo encouraged the women to back and canvass for Rukayat as her candidacy will be a blessing to women and their rights.

Also, Abdulateef and Tunde Idiagbon who addressed members on behalf of the youths, urged youth in their ward to back and campaign for Rukayat as a way of complementing the achievements and input of the state Governor and the APC in their constituency.

Speaking on behalf of the elders in the ward was Alhaji Baba Eleran who commended the level of support of the youth and women in achieving the candidacy of Rukayat in the ward.
