KSANG, Sekinah hold first phase of medical outreach in Kwara South

The Kwara State Association of Nigeria in North America (KSANG) and Sekinah Medical Outreach in collaboration with the Kwara state Government today hold the first phase of the three days free medical outreach in Kwara state.

The first phase of the programme which contains sensitization talk, medical diagnosis, medication and sugery was held at the Ajese-ipo primary healthcare centre, southern Kwara.

 

Speaking during the programme, the President of KSANG, Dr. Adanlawo said the association is an umbrella body of Kwarans living in North America with a primary responsibility of supporting each other and giving back to the society.

Adanlawo commended the government and urged Kwarans to be patient with the new administration which he said is optimistic will bring the best out of Kwara.

Also speaking during the programme, the chairman of Sekinah Medical Outreach, a non-profit organization and partner in the medical programme disclosed that the organization has been providing the less privileged with free health service over the years. He further revealed that they have sponsored patients to India, America among other countries for medical attention.

“We were able to carry-out all these and numerous others through intervention of well meaning people who donate generously to the Organisation,” Said he.

 

 

Responding to questions from our correspondent, the programme coordinator, Elder Olaitan Oyin Zubair disclosed that the turnout was impressive and in furtherance commended the facilitators of the programme and the state government.

One of the beneficiaries who identified himself as Yusuf Adekola commended the state government and partners in the health scheme.

“I appreciate the facilitators, volunteers and coordinators of this program, they are doing wonderfully well,”- the visibly enthusiastic Adekola said

At the Ajase-ipo’s palace, the Alase lauded the two groups for coming up with what he described as a wonderful scheme.

The traditional monarch consequently, while praying for the continuous prosperity of members of the association, appealed for supports of the new government.

Baring any last minute change, the second and third phase of the programme is expected to hold tommorow and the day after at Kwara North and Central respectively.
