The leading aspirant for the member of the Kwara State House of Assembly from Ilorin North/West Constituency, Azeez Adisa Jaji, has extolled the leadership prowess of the National Leader of the Peoples’ Democratic Party from the state, Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki.
Speaking during an interview at the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP State Secretariat around Tanke Junction area of Ilorin, Kwara State, Jaji said that it is only those with few knowledge or distorted history that will say the PDP and its leadership are not receptive to youths inclusiveness.
He said, “In my view and many other peoples’ views, we have seen hope in the PDP, not only today’s hope but that of the tomorrows. The hopes that are manifesting today are not just made to surface today. They are hopes we’ve seen from the doggedness and compassionate travails of our national leader, Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki.”
“I have been a student leader, I have had engagements with parents, students and people in the government during my one year turned two years (because of Covid) of services at NAKSS National Headquarters. Therein, I was leading congregation of students relating minds and collecting data.”
“In my evaluation, I have realized that the most crucial aspect of development anyone can achieve for a congregation of his people has to be effective and ideological consciousness and representations at the parliament. These are exactly where the leadership of the PDP is trusting me and the other two aspirants who are to go through to contest the candidacy with me”
“On this note, I salute Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki for the trust he has placed on we the youths and the avenue he has given us to come and effect the yearnings of the large number of the age group that has taken over the state. I also thank the leadership of the party at the State level – State Chairman, Rt. Hon. Babatunde Mohammed, the secretary, the woman leader, the youth leader and others. I share in this moment of my gratitude with the Local government executives and my ward executives for maintaining free, fair and transparent procedures up till this moment, onward shall we go from here”
While receiving the ticket presented to him by the State Party Chairman in the presence of other executive members of the party structure, Jaji expressed optimism that PDP will win in the next general elections, describing that the PDP internal arrangements and peaceful coordinations are a good pointer.
“I am confident to lead my path to Our Party’s victory with the assistance of Our Leader, Stakeholders, Elders and Members of Our Dear Party”, he concluded.
