Chairman Salman Shagaya Foundation Alhaji Sheriff Shagaya felicitated Nigerians, especially the Christians, on the occasion of Christmas, enjoining them to elevate love and selflessness in the new season.
“The message of the season are selflessness, sacrifice, fulfilment of pledge, love and care for mankind. The believers should extend support, preaches peace and advance good neighborliness with members of the community. Regardless of our differences, the period is one time when people mix and relate with others with utmost love and care. We are enjoined to imbibe these values during and after the festivals,” Shagaya said in a statement issued by Press Secretary Ibraheem Abdullateef.
“I call upon compatriots to remain modest and law-abiding citizens during the celebrations. The pomp and pageantry of the season should not rob us of chastity, decency and dignity. The people should foster peace and prioritise harmony with faith community,” the statement admonished.
The Chairman of the leading foundation in Kwara state prayed to God to grant the people abundance to have fulfilling celebrations.
Shagaya called on motorists, commercial riders and other road users to prioritise safety by respecting traffic signs and other safety limits to avoid occurrence of accidents that characterise festive period.
