Youth Minister Bio visits Ilesha-Baruba on needs assessment, commissions N-HYPPADEC’s project
The Minister of Youth Development, Dr. Jamila Bio Ibrahim, led a team from the Nigeria Hydro-Electric Power Producing Area Development Commission (N-HYPPADEC) on a needs assessment tour of the Ilesha Baruba Community in Kwara State.
The Minister’s visit comes barely 24 hours after she, on the stead of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Sen. George Akume CON, inaugurated the Patigi Erosion Control Drainage project that was executed by N-HYPPADEC in Patigi, another town in Kwara North senatotial district of Kwara.
The Minister equally commissioned a primary school project that was also completed by N-HYPPADEC in Okuta-Baruten, a suburb Baruten Local Government Area, t, as part of efforts to expand acess to basic education in the community.
Dr. Bio said they were in Kwara North to inaugurate some projects and to also carry out a needs assessment of flood-affected communities requiring urgent interventions.
“This commissioning and assessment tour mark the beginning of many federal interventions to come for the people of Baruten and Kwara North as a whole,” the Minister said.
