We’ll rescue those trapped in Abuja collapsed building – FCT Police Commissioner
The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Commissioner of Police, CP Sadiq Idris Abubakar, has promised to rescue all the persons trapped in the building which collapsed in Gwarinmpa, Abuja.
The Informant247 earlier reported how a building under construction collapsed in Gwarinmpa, on Thursday.
The Commissioner of Police, CP who led his team of police officers to the affected scene, said 20 persons have been saved so far.
The FCT police boss confirmed the death of one person.
Mrs Florence Wenegieme, the Director, Forecasting, Response and Mitigation, FCT Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), earlier confirmed the collapse of the building.
She said her team has saved 11 persons.
“The persons we rescued have been taken to Gwarimpa General Hospital. We are working to rescue more victims,” she said.
